Uniting for Education: FINCA RDC Celebrates Universal Children’s Day and Supports Children Through Education
On November 12, in preparation for Universal Children’s Day, FINCA RDC welcomed young reporters from UNICEF’s U-Report program for a day of professional immersion.
These young people discovered our different departments and the world of work, they had the opportunity to interview the CEO that not only shared the journey of FINCA DR Congo but also was eager to respond to many questions that the young reports had.
On November 20, on the occasion of Universal Children’s Day, Ms Mirela PEKMEZI, CEO of FINCA RDC, took part as a panellist in the forum organized by UNICEF in partnership with the UN Global Compact RDC to mark this celebration in the presence of many children.
FINCA DRC remains committed to improving the quality of life of low-income families by directly supporting the schooling of orphans across the country, with financial and digital training offered to their families, schools teachers, by offering a specially designed school loan to ease the financial burden on parents, enabling them to ensure the educational continuity of their children without compromising other essential family needs.
Dedicated to improve the quality of the environment where the children study, FINCA DR Congo has provided loans to many schools that have invested to improve their conditions creating a better study place for the children all over the DR Congo.
Through the RUPER scholarship program, initiated by FINCA CANADA, we have supported the school fees many of our clients by reinforcing our commitment to providing access to quality education, opening up future prospects and development opportunities.
At FINCA RDC, we believe that every family deserves a better future and every child deserves a chance to succeed.
