The Kolwezi branch celebrates its 10th anniversary
FINCA’s Kolwezi branch, launched in 2013, celebrates 10 years serving the city’s entrepreneurs, bringing joy and success to traders and businessmen in the cobalt capital of the world.
Kolwezi, the ninth most populous city in the DRC after tshikapa, currently boasts over 25,000 FINCA customers, many of them women.
Mr. Maurice Pathy NKULU, who successfully managed the FINCA Kolwezi branch for several years with his enlightened leadership and dedicated team, overcame economic and logistical challenges, while maintaining strong partnerships and fostering team spirit. His passing leaves a legacy of resilience and commitment to excellence.
Thierry Kibwe joined the team to further energize our business. At that time, new leaders set about broadening Kolwezi’s horizons, with major infrastructure works breathing new life into the town. These developments have been crucial in fostering local economic growth, and have helped strengthen our presence and impact in the region.
Currently under the leadership of Mr. François NTUMBA, the Kolwezi branch has been able to preserve its achievements while maintaining a high level of excellence. His able leadership has challenged and inspired his team, inspiring them to give their best. Thanks to this dynamic, the Kolwezi branch is recognized as one of the best within FINCA RD Congo, both in terms of performance and quality of service.
The town of Kolwezi has warmly welcomed FINCA’s digital products, such as the CLICK app and FINCA eXpress Full Option points, making financial transactions simpler than finding a needle in a haystack. These tools have been like a superhero flying towards financial inclusion in the remotest corners of Kolwezi. The women, particularly those from the diggers, benefit from regular financial education sessions, as well as financial services available via FINCA eXpress points, saving them from having to walk miles to the big branch.
The women of Kolwezi welcome the arrival of FINCA and the easier access to financial services via banking agents, particularly in a region where identity cards are rare and literacy rates, especially among women, are low.
Thanks to CLICK and FINCA Mobile (*455#YES), account management is now within easy reach for the people of Kolwezi.
