As part of its commitment to sustainability and respect for human rights through the UN Global Compact, FINCA DRC hosted, on October 6, 2025, an awareness session on sexual harassment in the workplace at its premises. This activity is part of the national campaign led by the Global Compact Network DRC, in collaboration with UN Women, to promote safe, inclusive and respectful work environments for all.

However, this training, led by experts in gender and gender-based violence , allowed the new staff to understand the different forms of sexual harassment, their psychological, social and legal consequences, as well as the prevention and redress mechanisms. Participatory discussions and case studies helped to break down taboos and foster a culture of listening, respect and collective responsibility.

In particular, the initiative is in line with Principle 6 of the United Nations Global Compact, which calls on companies to eliminate all forms of discrimination in employment and occupation. It also contributes to Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 8, relating to gender equality and decent work.

On the other hand, by actively participating in this campaign, FINCA DRCreaffirms its desire to be a model company, where each employee evolves in a climate of trust, fairness and mutual respect for the values at the heart of its vision of responsible and inclusive finance.
