FINCA DRC committed to digital and equitable financial inclusion

On May 8 and 9, FINCA DRC actively took part in the 6th edition of the E-commerce and Fintech Fair (SEF), organized at the Pullman of the Grand Hotel in Kinshasa. The aim of this meeting was to promote financial inclusion through digital technology, encourage local innovation and strengthen collaboration between players in the digital and financial sector.

Represented by its Director General, Mirela Pekmezi, FINCA DRC contributed to a strategic discussion on the interoperability of the banking sector in the DRC.

“I had the honor of representing FINCA DRC and ANIMF to discuss interoperability in the banking sector in the DRC, the opportunities, challenges and benefits that this will bring to institutions and the Congolese population. There is still a long way to go, but we are pleased to see all the players, including the Central Bank, working hand in hand to achieve this. »

In addition, Sibia Ngayihembako, Deputy Director General, participated in a 100% female panel on digital finance and women’s empowerment:

“It was such a pleasure to be part of an all-female panel to discuss digital finance and women’s empowerment. Excellent discussion and interaction on how everyone, at their own level, can contribute to improving women’s access to and use of digital products in the DRC. »

FINCA DRC thus confirms its commitment to sustainably transform the Congolese financial ecosystem through digitalization, financial education of communities and the inclusion of women.
