Sephora Tshiyombo Tshisalu

Board of Directors

Sephora Tshiyombo Tshisalu is an experienced expert in financial inclusion and digital finance, having joined the Board of Directors of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). With more than 10 years of experience in development and international cooperation, Sephora has contributed to the design and management of more than 80 technical assistance projects for financial institutions in the DRC, including banks, microfinance institutions (MFIs), and savings and credit unions.

She has held leading positions as a senior consultant in the DRC for international organizations such as the World Bank and the CGAP Group, where she led market assessments and formulated strategies to improve access to financial services, particularly for rural communities and smallholder farmers. Sephora is a key player in the development of the GSMA’s Mobile Money Regulation Index, covering several African countries for several years.

A graduate in finance with a specialization in financial and banking engineering from the University of Orléans, Sephora also holds several certifications in digital finance and gender equality. Outside of her professional career, she is passionate about digital innovation, sustainable agriculture, and she enjoys spending time with her family.
